Black Tie GalasNobody does it better.. guaranteed. We guarantee that no other company in Iceland has produced as many lavish gala events. In a small country with a small social circle, recycling old ideas has never been an option so we've had to out-do ourselves every year with new and exciting ideas and twists to this classic theme. Date with The Stars #1 and #2650 guests were invited to attend an extraordinary event in early January 2006. The location was a 5000 sqm newly built sports facility in the center of Reykjavík and we were the first to use it for event purposes. We encased a large part of the auditorium with beautiful, white 12 metre drapes which we lit with bespoke patterns from dozens of light robots. Both the service and food came from internationally renowned teams and the entertainment was in the hands of Icelands brightest new stars. After feasting on seven courses and enjoying the entertainment we opened 3 adjoining spaces where guests enjoyed different kinds of entertainment until 6AM. The most popular space was the ´Cognac Room´where we decorated a space with antique sofas, chairs and lamps, served fine cigars and a range of drinks. This is where the most hardened ended the night singing along to the saloon-styled pianoplayer. A year later it was time to do it again and we knew we had to out-do ourselves. With excitement building the pressure was on. With over 950 guests this time around, we had to provide more entertainment options and a different look and feel from the year before. This included a China themed space with specially imported lanterns and knots, a small discotheque, a 50's style big band lounge (complete with big band) a manhattan style coctail bar and an "ebony and ivory" pianobar.
